Transparency Certificate

Background

Digital Invest Germany – Bundesverband Crowdfunding e.V. awards the “Transparent Platform” certificate every year. The aim is to highlight those platforms that are committed to investor protection in the market in a special and thus exemplary manner.

Criteria

These are the criteria for the award of the transparency seal:

  1. The transparency seal is awarded exclusively to members of the Digital Invest Germany – Bundesverband Crowdfunding e.V.
  2. By joining the association, members undertake to implement the Code of Conduct for Crowdfunding Platforms.
  3. By joining the association, members undertake to include the Reporting Guidelines for crowdfunding projects in the contracts between project owners and investors. They must explain to the association in which documents the reporting standards have been included and how compliance with the reporting standards is ensured.
  4. Once a year, the platforms provide the association with the following information Name of the auditor, date and period of the last audit certificate
  5. The platforms undertake to make the Vermögensanlage-Informationsblätter (VIB) or the Wertpapier-Informationsblätter (WIB) accessible on the website without barriers.
  6. The platforms shall disclose to the Association the process for handling investor complaints
  7. The platforms shall disclose to the Association how projects are selected on the platform and what information about the projects is presented on the platform. They also disclose to the association which documents the project owners must provide in order to appear on the platform.
