Member of Steering Committee of Global Equity Crowdfunding Alliance (GECA)
In September 2025, Karsten Wenzlaff, the CEO of Digital Invest Germany, joined the Global Equity Crowdfunding Alliance (GECA) as a member of its Steering Committee. The appointment reflects his long-standing involvement in shaping the European crowdfunding ecosystem and contributing to regulatory developments at both national and international levels.
Over the past decade, Karsten Wenzlaff has played a key role in the development of the European crowdfunding framework, including contributions to the ECSP Regulation, which enables cross-border fundraising across the European Union. His work has focused on aligning regulatory approaches to support market growth while ensuring investor protection and market integrity.
Beyond his regulatory contributions, he has been actively involved in research and policy advisory, including early studies on crowdfunding and participation in international benchmarking initiatives.
