GECA: Architects of Change Podcast

In December 2025, Karsten Wenzlaff participated in the “Architects of Change” podcast series hosted by the Global Equity Crowdfunding Alliance. The episode focused on the evolving role of regulation in equity crowdfunding and brought together perspectives from industry leaders across Europe and the United States.
A key theme of the discussion was the shift in how compliance is perceived within the sector. Rather than being seen solely as a regulatory burden, compliance is increasingly viewed as a driver of growth and competitive advantage. Examples from different markets illustrated how clear regulatory frameworks can support market development, strengthen investor confidence, and enable platforms to scale more effectively.
The conversation also addressed emerging trends, including the growing involvement of institutional players, the use of artificial intelligence in due diligence processes, and new governance challenges such as AI-generated risks. Overall, the episode highlighted the importance of building robust compliance capabilities and collaborative industry standards to support the continued maturation of the global crowdfunding ecosystem.
